Tangier, Morocco
November 13–14, 2026
The International Conference on Smart Cities & Applications (SCA'26) is a premier multidisciplinary forum organized by the Mediterranean Association of Sciences and Sustainable Development (Medi-ASD). This edition features an innovative dual-city format, bringing together academia, industry and policy-makers in two UNESCO-heritage and cosmopolitan cities: Karabuk (Turkey) on November 11–12, and Tangier (Morocco) on November 13–14, 2026.
SCA'26 explores the convergence of digital technologies, urban intelligence, and sustainable development to build smarter, more inclusive cities. Spanning AI, IoT, mobility, e-governance and beyond, the conference offers a vibrant setting for presenting cutting-edge research and forging international partnerships.
SCA'26 takes place across two extraordinary cities — a UNESCO World Heritage site in Turkey and the gateway between Europe and Africa.
UNESCO World Heritage City, Turkey
Karabük is a gateway to Ottoman heritage, with Safranbolu standing out as its UNESCO-listed historic treasure since 1994. Known for its well-preserved caravanserais, traditional konaks, and cobblestone streets, the region offers an exceptional backdrop for scholarly exchange at the intersection of heritage and innovation.
Gateway between Europe & Africa · Morocco
Tangier stands at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and Atlantic, bridging European and African cultures. Home to the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of Tangier (FSTT) — a leading organizer of SCA — the city offers a vibrant smart-city ecosystem, world-class connectivity, and a dynamic research community.
